I just don't get it. Can you explain to me that if they already have alias? What they want to incorporate, is how to say that dassault buys the sw inventor to incorporate technology into the cat.
in vsr there are former developers of icem surf, and produce excellent plugins for rhino, for class modeling a, analysis, and a realtime module (they have recently already vred!). nothing that alias has not had for a long time of higher level.
I don't want them to have done it specifically to cut the legs to the plug-ins with rhino, to get alias to buy. shape modeling what will end? (the site already is semi-empty)
Also because today there are not many alternatives for the class surfaces a, alias, icem, which apparently is integrated only with catia and I read that the standalone version, omnicad, think3, catia, nx is no longer released. the solution with rhino is very economical compared to others, which obviously have different targets.

is the same question I asked myself when they bought softimage.. They had already 3ds and Maya! and when nemetschek bought graphisoft with archicad, having already in stable allplan and vectorworks? You know. .I just don't get it. Can you explain to me that if they already have alias? .

bè is not the same thing, they develop only plugins, do not have a sw that covers a part of an industry, as it was xsi, and maya that in fact are developing and going on alone with their users, here that crap implement the plugin? then those technologies could include them even first in other autodesk products with alias, and in fact they have already done it with some functionality in inventor. and they tell us also, that the technologies vsr will implement them.. I don't want shape modeling for rhino to make a bad end, already tspline costs twice as much as before.
ps- what they should do is limit the versions of alias to two and lower/coup the cost of the licenses of surface and autostudio, today you can not spend 15 thousand euros, and up to 40-50 for a sw per designer, is a legacy of the 80-90s with the silicone graphics stations, absurd.
I would make two the base and one with a double cost, already so much.
