automatically open tables in dwg

Good morning to all, I have a question to ask you. I did a research, but I didn't find anything about it.
in the ambienete 3d, if I right click on the file name in the browser column, I have the option to open the table connected to that model automatically. but this seems to work only if the table saves it as idw. if the board saves it as dwg this command does not work; It is as if he lacked the link to find the file, although in fact once opened (manually), this dwg interacts perfectly with my part.
Is that normal?

No, I use dwg and it works.
Usually it goes in crisis when back shifts or renounces the files.
