avoid the chain digging the pinion

I have to turn some turrets and I have adopted a solution with chain and pinions.

But now I was thinking about the fact that the chain could flet in correspondence of the two central pinions by blowing a few steps of the chain.
in the design still lacks the chain curtains but the problem remains.
the outer pinions are 2 meters away from each other.
How is it normally such a situation? a contrast roller so that the chain remains in contact with the pinion? I do not often take this type of transmission and qiondi are not aware of any solutions.1689259602263.webp

Now. You don't know what weights the turrets have to bear. .
but with your solution.. the 4 internal pinions would work only on a tooth and there will certainly be problems.
solution allowing.. . 6 more pinions should be added to make all pinions work on more teeth
more obviously the chain curtains.

if your application is content to work tangentially you have to put a bit of polyzene driving. If you want more teeth in hold I have to add counterpignons that make you hug and not skip the chain.

the work is not at all heavy and the speeds are max 10rpm.
good idea of a polyzene shoulder or guide, I had not thought about it.
Now I'm seeing with the main if it's possible to rotate the turrets some opposite to the others, so I could pass the snake chain between the pulleys improving the grip on the teeth.
Thank you.

ciao % 1.
I tried to sketch out a possible solution, then I don't know if I like it or not.
the sketch is similar to that proposed by @vittoriAs you can see.
What do you think?
ps: in the image, the green lines represent the new path of the chain.

ciao @enzobeltrandi90 with your solution the 4 internal pinions always take for a few teeth (maybe 2) and then the 8 turrets do not turn all in the same way (but perhaps this is not important)

when the chain wraps the pinion for a corner close to 90°, there is guarantee of pulling, with different teeth in hold and no danger of drainage.
to get this condition on all the pinions, it is enough to put two curtains, of which one spring, in the central part of the table, possibly very close to each other.
more or less as he suggested victorious.

thanks to all for suggestions.
we decided that the turrets can also turn in different verses each other.
you have added two more towers in the center and now it is easier to make the right turns.
the different color lazy is traction.
the few teeth in the grip are not a problem because the vent is almost null.
we still have to place the chain curtains but at large lines the pattern is this.

if it is not possible to make a turret as a curtainr, with snode and spring, it will be necessary to insert a single curtainr, but after the tow pin.

no, unfortunately it is not possible to make a curtain to a turret. Thanks for the info on the location, I didn't think about it.
