axial holes (newbies) philosophy

excuse the question very newsbies.
is it correct to make holes by changing the part within the axieme or the correct procedure is to use quotas?

my concrete example:
I have 1 set consisting of sheet metal box with various electronic boards.
the holes x fixing screws in the box I would do them by opening the axieme then changing the box part and making fill the holes with the placed cards.

my predecessor from whom I inherited the drawings had created holes with reference odds, not using electronic cards as reference.

to note that those who "command" are the electronic cards that posiziono according to the connectors that expose from the box and then first I move the cards then I create the holes.

the method indicated by you is one of the many methods that you can use. depends on so many things:
- if the product is mounted in several assimisms (which together commands)
- if it is right that the holes on the sheet should command
- if it is an absolute drilling or not

therefore it is not wrong to open the axieme and to make holes with references other holes of other parts. Then you see who commands what.

the ideal solution in my opinion is the 'hole series' in the environment together.
the command allows you to create new holes or use some existing ones.
if the tabs command the holes on the sheet, select the holes of the cards and propane the holes on the sheet.
this method is called top-down.
It is clear that if you change the whole or the size of the holes in the cards, to see the change on the sheet, you have to do it in the environment together.
