if from the toolbox of solidworks, in the design phase, I choose a bearing iso 15 rbb-2317, to which bearing skf corresponds ?
In practice I would like to understand if there is a guideline to choose a bearing from a manufacturer based on the data I have on the bearings inserted by tootbox.
Thank you.

I would say that if you want a skf it matters from the skf toolbox, if it is of other category, it will follow the rules of the chosen standard. I think that more or less nobody knows the other standards as the skf nomenclature is the unified world.

Iso 15 are the radial bearings... you have to look for the explanation of the unifications... But I think it's a waste of time. better put the skf bearing directly that everyone knows from the catalog as it is located and also of the ina find the same abbreviations of theskf.

You're right, but in some cases the skf database bearings don't contain bearings with the measures I need.

just go to the skf site and download the appropriate encoded 3d file. that will remain with the skf code and everyone will always know what type it is. as for seals and what is not in the toolbox you make custom standard libraries.
