"biblical" times for the opening of assemblies (but not all)

I have a macro-fold containing all the inventor files (ipg, ipt, iam, idw) divided by subfolders, practically copied the entire macro-fold locally.
in my case though, I had no problem opening files of other formats

we have a fairly large archive on a dedicated server where the vault is installed.
I think it's hard to copy everything on your PC and how do you handle having 2 copies of your files?
Don't you risk mistakes?

at the theoretical level I have no two copies of the files because inventor now goes to work on the disk partitioned locally and only points to that. Later a program synchronizes this macro folder with one on the server to have backup copies.
