blocks and library update

Bye. I am using mechanical 2008 and I have a problem in updating the blocks of my library: from the mech library command I create a block and insert it in drawing1. then double-clicking (the refedit and modrif command is activated) modifies it and updates within the design1. But if I open a drawing2 and I go to get the block from the library inserts the unmodified one. in practice the cad updates only the block inside the drawing and not the file of the library. Does anyone of you know what is the procedure to change the block and keep the library updated?? Thank you.

frankly, it's a problem that I've never placed... or, better, it's never been a problem. .
when it amounts a block, this becomes a copy of the library block and no longer has any constraint with the original block. If you want to change the latter, you have to open it (like any dwg) and edit it. . .
I imagine that a behavior like what you would like you could get it with xrifs, with which you connect an aesthetic design (in this case the library block) to the design... but here I stop because the xrifs I think I used them yes and no a couple of times (if they don't use the customers, I certainly can't place them, how comfortable they can be). . .
