bolts from my folder or content center?

Bye to all,
perhaps excuse the obvious question;
being a single user, I never bothered to insert screws from the center of inventor content in my assemblies, but I once copied my beautiful vitucce from the center in every folder of my projects every time to not have any problems whatsoever..(I know you see that they are self-taught...:biggrin

Now, thinking that. .
the content center is local resident and my workbooks are on the server...I was wondering if it was possible to create a single folder (and so on by saying for all standard parts) "bulley" external to the projects but at the service of all my works; in order to always use the same file for multiple projects.. .

But I'm asking myself, but should this be done?

Then I say, but is it possible that my works are on the server and my bolts (in case you put them in the jobs from the content center) are on my local pc?

Could someone give me a little help to figure out how it's best to work? even simply give me a tip to rout me would be very welcome.

your content center is local because your pc does as a server...in fact if someone else wants to use the cc must "log" to your pc.

So you're telling me that having my work on a server apart (and my cc locally) I can safely use cc screws and put them in a set
that is not cmq resident in the same car?

under > file options you can decide where the parts of the content center will be saved. you can choose a folder locally (as is default) or a folder on the server.

in poor words:
the content center is a generator. every time you create a new object this is saved in the server library so that all others can access it.

Of course only those who have the cc can editate them.

but being single and unique user to access inventor, I can leave the cc where it is by default (local) and idem leave my works on the server; taking when when when the screws I need from cc etc etc.? ?

I'm a little tired of understanding this...

if I take a bolt, nut and cc washer (which is local),
I create a set (which except in the folder of my work on the server, while having the elements that compose it locally in the cc) with elements already spaced for the thickness of sheet to be bolted, serialized for the steps that I need etc... and finally the warning in a set of sheet panels of my work (which is on the server).... can I do it or is a wrong working methodology?

Yes, you can do it because, as I have already written, when the cc generates a new component creates a reading file on the server.

Obviously if you want to edit the created file you can't do it if you don't have the cc. you need to see the cc as a "configurator"... the created components are on the server.

if you see well, the cc is local, but the folder where it creates the components is on the server.

It was the answer I wished, as soon as I find myself in the need to emblude my cursed towers, I throw myself into the world of the cc, hoping not to have to ask you for further clarifications in the future. .

One. You know why? because if everyone had a cc they would be able to edit the files without making notice the change.
instead with one only the changes always makes them and only one person.

At least where I work, let's just say that.

then if one works in a super automated company then the speech changes.

thank you for the patience, now I find it very good to use the cc and my assembling files thank for the lightness; but,
is it not that by chance you know how I can add to my cc of .ipt files created by me to use them as standard models?
I also tried with the pruners guide but it is clear to me. .
