hi to everyone, for a few months I have been a stagist cam operator, for now relegated to simple operations on 3-axis cutters.
I have to say that I like this job a lot and I would like to learn a lot more things and focus on more complex 5-axis jobs. However I struggle to understand the laws (if so can be defined) that bind advances, speed, steps, etc... is there a text that can help me?

hi hayate, first you have to know well the technological processes of removal of truciole and their relative parameters (find information on the books of mechanical technology and on the manual catalogs of the tools - watch sandvik coromant that there is the possibility to get sent free the manual with calculation cd etc.).

As a second thing, if you work with one or more numerical control machine, I would say you have to know very well the machine programming manual and know how to create and understand programs, their functions, subprograms etc.

as the third thing you need the cad/cam manual to understand how the software works, understand the tricks and apply programming according to the machines you have and meanwhile verify that the divorces are feasible.

That's what I think you need.

in itself is enough to leave, but in the end you need to have a series of notes focused on what you need and then slowly expand.

to complete the work would be ideal to have at your disposal the software cam and the simulator of the machine tool not on board machine to study, try and learn to program.

In fact I wanted to give something that provided a general mink, then for calculations on advances and cutting speeds and similar usually you should have a good manual of mechanics (even mine that is rather generalist reports almost all the skilful base for mechanical processing).

The problem is I'm not on the car. I only prepare strategies and generate the post. to the rest a third person thinks about the positioning of the flocks, tooling, etc...
In fact, 3 vertical cutters, I couldn't turn on one.
