boolean subtraction in design modeler

Good morning to all,
I know that the problem I'm going to have is certainly elementary, but so...

Therefore I must analyze the field of motion of a gaseous current on an aletta from the well defined section. If I pass for the 2d, i.e. for icem, I have no problem and I can get what I want.
but the problem is that this aletta is not a linear extrusion. I acted like this. start ansys wb and choose the analysis with fluent. amount geometry from pro/e and design modeler recognizes it as body and in fact in the dm tree in body there is written 1. from how I have seen in many tutorials on the net, I have to build the domain as solid and then perform a bolean subtraction before moving to mesh. the point is that the Boolean operations can't do them because, once you create the domain with concept/primitive/box, I don't appear as a body in the dm tree, it appears to me as an extrusion, but not as a body.

Tell me where I'm wrong?

I understand your problem.
do so:
1-import the proe part in design modeler. in the tree on the left, click on "import1", below you will see a number of options including one of them is called "add material". You have to change it by selecting "add frozen".
2-I would grow fluid domain with a box, and exactly as above in the options put "add frozen" instead of "add material".
3-now you can do all the Boolean operations you want!

when in design modeler there is the option "add material" every time you add a new body, if it is partially or completely covered to the previous one automatically happens a boolean addition operation.
