Thanks to a couple of my former employers I would make a holiday not bad.
but:
1) eventually allowed me to pay the bills for years, so
2) between the ethics of "all the software fired" (which I share) and my personal ethics (I am not a baxxxxdo), I choose the latter. even if 10'000€ (5'000+5'000, I keep low) would really make me comfortable.
And no, I'm not braked by the fact that I have to name and surname. for 1000€ I have some semi-unemployed acquaintances, unknown to my former employers, who would gladly do the dirty work.
but:

Now, reading this forum seems to me that those who have been caught with pirate software at the end, usually, have purchased licenses just to avoid judicial proceedings, and considering that the purchase of licenses I don't really believe is a transactive agreement, I think the spy in 99.998% of cases does not get a penny. in the meantime, however:
If he has a conscience, he should not be too proud of himself, for the reasons I have indicated above.
- allowed one (or more) software house to be paid for pirate software used (and this is)
- has allowed the company that has invented this system of seeing paid its own, those sure, honors

I fully agree, also because the sum of 10000 € is misleading as it would refer to 10% of the pecuniary compensation (receiving damages) that, even in my opinion, in most cases is not applied because generally the company acquires the regular license.
beyond these considerations is my belief that software for a company should always be considered as an instrumental good that contributes to the production of turnover, as well as machine tools, equipment, etc. that for this which are regularly paid. Moreover, if the evolution of the various software has reached the current level is only because in many have paid, more or less voluntarily, the regular licenses, otherwise the softwarehouse would have already closed the doors.
as integration to the topic I found this contribution which explains very clearly the risks associated with the use of illegal software.
