bsod - solidworks 2021 sp5

Hello, everyone.
the other day I had the brilliant idea to upgrade solidworks, passing from 2020 sp5 to 2021 sp5.
I made a clean installation, uninstalling then first the old version.
Now I find myself having to activate the software, but as I try, both in automatic and manual mode, a beautiful blue screen appears to me and the pc restarts.
of course I have already arranged to open a ticket with assistance and are waiting for their answer.
I want to know if it happened to any of you.

theoretically the uninstallation of the old version still leaves the serial recorded, unless you have even cleaned the configuration log. so the software should not have activation.

However I suggest two assumptions:
1. the installation did not happen quite regular, so some solidworks files could be corrupted. a new installation attempt could be useful.
2. problems with the graphics card driver. may have corrupted, or the way the new version of solidworks communicates with the video section (in the latest versions there have been various changes) requires an update of the driver. I would do this first.

I just updated the video card driver but nothing changed.
I didn't think it was a video card problem, because if I decide not to activate the software, and then use it as if it were in test, the program works properly.

I also add, that is the second time I install the program. the first time in fact, I had made an update from 2020 sp5. at presenting the problem, I contacted the assistance that suggested me try with a clean installation, first making a deep uninstall (with cleaning of registry keys)

e come se non bastasse è uscito l'hotfix dato che "solidworks 2021 sp5.0 crashes when modifying or creating a date custom property with pre-2018 custom properties. this official hotfix resolves this issue in solidworks 2021 sp5.0". buon 1° a tutti.

to put the 2021 according to them, I should change pcs ( laptop of 3 years and 3000 euri), as the video card is not + supported and while with 2020 it just told me, but it worked, when I tried to install the 2021 continued crashing. without calculating all the other damage that made me install. . .

I managed to fix everything through a management technician, because I'm still waiting for them.

yes exact, for the moment there is no sp5 update available. It is not bad that hotfix solves the problem even if I wonder how it is possible that some experts such as ds programmers can commit such naiveties. and say that on the actual kernel they do nothing for many years, but instead they limit themselves to small touches to prove that the product is constantly evolving. apart from that, from personal experience I can say that the cfd standalone simulator is of excellent quality, the results obtained prove it without the slightest doubt. sin that it is nothing but the floefd of siemens, in other words in mentor graphics.

It's strange that naiveties jump out at a sp5. to a sp1 you could have understood better.
Anyway talking about solidworks kernel I don't think it's correct, since the kernel is parasolid.

I don't think about anything anymore, I taxally avoid the sp0 and start thinking about it starting from the sp2. you are perfectly right, changing icons or adding some command here and there in c++ or c# is not like jumping on the kernel, which is the engine of all the 3d toyne. a toy now archaic that for decades has always been following more or less serious defects, but always unresolvable.
