Good morning to all boys,
I wanted to take advantage of your expertise to solve a little problem I'm having here at work.

In this case I have to measure the painted area of our product; In theory I should also try to exclude some surfaces that should not be painted but I would also be content to measure the mm2 of the external "skin" of a set.
Unfortunately I can only measure those of a compost but not the overall. Do I need to create surfaces that "copy" my product?

would you give me advice?
thanks in advance
roberto

calm and chalk :-), even the ptc call center puts us a few hours to answer.
the shrinkwrap function (packing in Italian) allows you to create a component derived from the external surfaces of the axieme.

Thank you maxopus and I apologize if I seemed pressing. ...

In fact, with shrink, I can partially solve this even if I can't exclude some surfaces. . .

You should see the file, it's hard to give you suggestions without understanding what it is.
the analysis of the area you can do by excluding even after the surfaces you do not care.

I attach a screenshot....we basically say that I should measure the dark gray surface.

select all surfaces and with the ctrl key exclude those that do not interest you in the analysis.
you can also make a copy-paste of the affected surfaces and save the analysis performed.

the fact is that being all rounded has thousands of small surfaces....with ctrl becoming old.....however I would say that thanks to your help I think I have solved.

Thank you again!

no, you must first select them all, with the Shift key or right click to change the selection context and then uncheck what you don't care about with the ctrl key.
