hello to all
which cam can make a 5-axis processing with a flat tip,
in the red surfaces in tangency and in the yellow surfaces normal?
Annex also

I think all the cams that run the 5 axes continuously on the market,
I don't think it's complicated.

the yellow surface is executable from any 5 axes cam, the red one also but being some radiated curves it would be better to run it with a spherical tip plus a flat for the step. the problem is plump to build the fixing tools to lock and work such a structure.

Bye-bye

As for the type of processing I think there is no problem running it.. any cam can do it

the problem as Davide_r says is how to relay it you have already studied the equipment for the various positions?? how many positions do you think you can achieve it? ?

Hi.

hello to all
the thing is easier than you think...at the level you fix certain :)
the rough is bigger than the finished piece and is worked twice leaving an unworked part to leave it fixed to the rough
the cam I use is 3 axes so now these things we do to 3 axes...
but for the future there is an idea of 5 axes and these processes I would like to make them all the time. . .

Now those pieces make them all,
Just go to any fair and find someone who makes a rough courier.

now for the 3-axis processing you use? ?
a car owner cam, which I recommend :36_1_10: and since my judgment is heavily negative for part 3d, I don't say what it is. .
but still is out of the standards and does not make text

and you probably don't even know him

Anyway I trained and worked with mastercam 9 until 2005 (and g hand code for 2.5 axes, good times!!! )

Maybe I didn't explain well. I am certainly convinced that they can do but the sense of my answer was “it is more complicated and expensive to build the fixes that perform the processing itself”, as to say that the processing has nothing difficult.

 and then apologize if you do it with the 3 axes because to the asked if you can do with the 5 axes? It's like you want to buy a ferrari and ask if it can go to the speed of the ypsilon lance you already have. So the question itself meant that you should have done everything from the beginning.

three axes is how I do it now with the problems that arise (also from the cam) I should do it to 5 in the near future. . .

for you the thing can be trivial but I am 5 years old who are practically out of the world of cams...
and to do everything with mastercam (in 3 obvious axes) I went to a cam that define "deficent" is a compliment:)
a 5-axis machine is expected and I do not want indirectly or so much less directly to have me hooked up by various commercials (as happened in my company years ago) the cam I would like to choose it I cost allowing... :) so much the postprocessor always that is, is an external program that accepts standard iso

I was not there, but I left notes and questions on the cam... like if he managed surfaces if he was standard iso etc. etc. he answered yes to everything. . .
when the cnc has arrived, the cam does not manage the surfaces and is not standard iso... Imagine how I'm mad. . .

instead of “....because the asked....” read “....because you asked....”.

I'm trying featurecam, I can't make them do the work I want
Does anyone give me a tip?
of the file attached to the first post I would like to work the yellow surface with 5 axes continuously with a normal flat cut to the surface. . .

Thank you.

by leaving the speech brackets etc. surely powermill is able to realize the work you require

feturecam can do these processing but not having themodule 5 axes can not make an example
I have 2.5 d for part 5 axs pmill use.
once uploaded the post enable 5 axs functions
value is 0 b 0

I sent the request to contact me at delcam about pmill and fc but no answer by phone or email. .
if they are not interested in selling. . .

for now I have not tried with other suppliers also because I think fc is one of the least expensive (and the simplest) or not?

! from me often pass without calling them (you know maybe buys qcosa... )
Who follows you?? ? the headquarters of legnano?
the prices of the various cams I do not know them I bought powermill 15 years ago and it seemed natural to remain under them for part 2d.
x 3d of surfaces the calculation engine is the same as pmill although very very very very very much + easy and limited (many fewer options I mean)
fc has given me a handful since we put ourselves in the house. In his time I had seen a little cam but nothing to do.
and then you know ..who leaves the old for the new....etc etc.
and at almost 40 years the brain atrophy (my meaning)
