I designed my mold and the file is so structured:
in a product "assieme mold" are inserted three other products "fixed side", "mobile side", "extraction side", where within which there are all solids, entities, normalized and the constraints that make up the mold.

apro catdrawing, I begin to make the various views and to dissect.........the system is very slow to die, at every sight I go to create it takes 5-6 minutes of hourglass, then with the property of adjustment I go to fix my sections and still there is to go crazy....lento.......lento .......

You don't have any suggestions to give me to speed up everything, to create responsive and decent views.

thanks for the interest, the machine is a 64 bit, quad core q8200 2.33 ghz 8gb ram.
video card nvidia picture fx 1800 768mb

with a car like this is not the hardware (it is similar to mine) then it is a problem of magnitude together.............. I have established that with the 32-bit machine was a disaster, but with the 64-bit machine I do not have + any problem I put on the table and I am fast living everything I need, without ever using the cgr ....................

It's not so many.........

Could there be parts with many holes or very complex???? Usually holes hang a casino drawing files....... as I told you however passed to 64 bit I did not have problems.............. .

cgr are files created by catia that simplify mathematics so much + light but less detailed .............. I do not use them but many do it with very complex assemblies......... If you are looking for the forum you will surely find something to explain the tits in a post is a mess.........:wink:

I also project molds (1000+ components) and have passed through these problems. in my experience, the major problems give them the sections. deactivating the "thread" option from the section, the update is easier. other solution, create two files together. the first for plants and sections, the second for views. This reduces the size of the catdrawing.

But I did not understand the process to open a created cgr. see if the various steps I make are correct:
1 - I open the axieme and create a cgr file
2 - I close everything
3 - new > product
4 - insert existing component > cgr
5 - Now I can take measurements, sections, etc...

How come, directly to be opened, it is not possible to select the cgr but you have to make a product every time and insert it?

I was referring to the catdrawing environment. if in the propitiancies of a main view, I define view generation mode > cgr, from this I can generate a section, but the section cannot have the "view generation mode" set to cgr
