starting from this debateI wanted to hear the various experiences from those who have done this job for more time than I have.
I have not posted directly in the solid edge section because the software mentioned in the other tread import the maths of various modelers.
I saw several videos on the solidworks composer and I wondered if solid edge had anything like that.
where I am now I will also have to take care of manuals and catalogues and now who does it asks me the pictures of the views that interest him and then slew with microsoft word.
How are you doing? What programs do you use?
any information or advice is well accepted:finger:

If I have understood correctly, it is a question of engaging catalogs and manuals.
use word is to be excluded, it is not the best solution to infect text and images.
I use adobe indesign, along with illustrator and photoshop to prepare pictures and graphics.
cad the use are to create 3d designs or models, which I make and step to photoshop for final details (resolution, resize, saturation etc).

I have no experience, but I think you could make the model and table on your cad.
then you could start the whole thing with chorel draw, (there is also a technical design version, but I don't know what it does), or the binomy illustrator + indesign.

staying in the office, what about publisehr? I did some brochures and it seems convenient.

publisher is a software for low-end layout.
It could still be your case for the layout. but in this case how do you create images? if you use the cad, how do you convert the masses to the table, in images ready to be impounded?

we do not insert any table in the manuals of use and maintenance.
we take the machine, if you need arrows that indicate the opening of a door we also model that is then rendering and saving image.
the images then are inserted in the manual with attached text.
only that with word is a bloodbath in my opinion.
composed of solidworks would be perfect but solid edge has nothing similar to me.
those of you who make cars will then have to do manuals. How do you do that?
