Catastral map extract

I apologize for the banal question, but the research did not give me results on this.
wanting to insert in a project a view showing the cathartic map extract that I have already digitized in a dwg, how is it more appropriate to act?
At the moment I opted for an import into the ground level, and I inserted it in my table adapting the cutting region to exclude the geometries of the level where I placed it...but I think that in doing so I "beared" in the table also all "hidden" geometries from the cutting region. . .

thanks in advance of possible answers
Have a good day!

I convert the map extract (pdf) to png/jpg/bmp file, pane the affected area and the amount directly to the table

Hi.
instead I create of the views of the plant specially defined at an acceptable quota (1 x the extract of map, 1 x the prgc, 1 x the orthophoto, etc.), I insert the image (in jpg) of the various objects (map, prgc, etc.) appropriately oriented and climbed and then youlà, I have everything there, if I want to see my building on the various views of frame (eventual views

for now I say thank you all for the contributions.
only one consideration, I believe that the insertion into the table as an image puts some limit on the scale of the "view" of the extract...but I should try.
Thanks again, good day! !

Hi.
I use all three methods depending on inspiration and the moment. for the method suggested by gfrank obviously when you crop the image you need to know/define the size of the cutout that you will then bring in its property tab once inserted into the table, so you are sure that the scale is unchanged. the method proposed by manuel is definitely the most versatile, only neo, absolutely for a mental disturbance of mine is that I do not want to define a level for an element that does not "appear" in the strict sense to the building, but here we are already in the zone of force :)

In fact, import as image leaves me some doubt about possible problems: especially with regard to the setting of the scale and the control of the thicknesses and colors of the lines.
On the other hand, the import as an object within a level (opportunely cut out to exclude the geometries of the model) determines, when placed on the table, the import of all the geometries of that level (if not of the whole model...but I am not such an expert knowledgeer of the sw), and the consequent weighting of the table.
I find, even if at the first attempt I did not go too well, that the import as a design view could be lighter once put on the table, not having solid geometries "insite" in the sight.
of course, all my discord arises because I do not have an excellent calculation power...
I'm sorry.

Hi.
As a "heavy" of the file in mb, I must say that it does not affect in my opinion more than once. for example in the last project I inserted 1 jpg of the map (originally 2293 kb), 1 of prgc (1454 kb), 1 of igm (5479 kb) and 1 of ctr (2460kb) each on 4 views of different plant, plus I duplicated the view of the map to show the points of the photo shoot, but the revit file from 8,5 mb passed to about 9.5mb). the condition is, however, to have to "eliminate the unused" (typically as an operation when my revit project is almost finished).
