catia v5 module udl for reading .prt of nx

Good morning to all,
Does anyone know the useful udl module to convert native .prt files of siemens nx?
I did run a conversion test from my supplier, but the result was a step with tiled file (type mesh) so it cannot be used for what I have to do with it.
By reading on the net it would seem that it would be possible to import a math directly into .catpart (or also .catproduct in the case of assemblies). Does anyone have any information about this? Thank you.

Yes, I saw that the subject was treated a long time ago. now there is this module, with relative license to add to the package, which promises to read .prt files of siemens. in this case you do not need to have nx (I would buy it just to not have to manage another cad). The thing that seems very strange is that you create a tiled file and not a math.

You should ask where you will take the license, explain everything, is the most sensible and less dangerous thing.

That's what I did, but they couldn't translate the file into a math, they generated a tiled file that I don't need, nothing else they can tell me. It is not that I want to question who knows the software better than me, but I can hardly believe that a pretty expensive module only does that.

ciao @ mauro:) I read the thread and it seems to me very strange that the translation is a tiled file. Usually, when I exchange files, I do it through step and I never had problems.
If I can afford, what's the reason why you don't give the steps files and want the natives?

unfortunately the customer is a "po' gross" and it imposes a lot, provides .prt files and every time you have to pray not little to have a .stp

we have purchased a fr1 license that allows to import in catia v5 steps and to make recognize some operations like pockets, holes, rays, bevels etc. so that you can edit them to your liking in catia v5 despite the steps come from other cad systems.

I know this license to edit the steps costs a little money.

advice: Before you buy it, make sure you do exactly what you want. If you don't need to put pressure on your business partner to learn more.
