Is there a software that can do (easy without studying days) the filling simulation of a pool with water? I would need to simulate situations similar to the screenshot, if the water is distributed uniformly.
there are many.solid edge has a special module (because you use it if).between the open source I recommend you openfoam, but it is a little more complex.
I don't see a trivial simulation.
- it is a transient, in the sense that you do not have to verify a stable and constant flow, but by the very nature of the project, you have to do different load step, and the analysis has a zero point of start and one of end to divide in n load steps.
- involves the use of two fluids, air and aqua, and therefore of the discretization of their interface
- provides the discretization of quite complex geometries, then with mesh problems.
If you're not in the use of a cfd, I don't think it's a problem you put up and you solve it in a day.
with freecad you can integrate over 2gb of openfoam installation so you have the buttons to set the studio.
what you can do is written in this workbench.
I am doing a lot of simulations with cfd simulation of solidworks, which is nothing but siemens floefd, of which the true author is mentor graphics. the results obtained, once I understood how I would perform the setup of the studio, are close to the real ones obtained in the tank with a last generation load cell. In fact, now at the design level, I no longer have the need to do practical tests, which are now only done as verification and validation of the project results. does not cost little, but a good simulator, reliable, is really an added value.
