change appearance in a welded set

I want to change the look of a welded set .iam, and I can't.
I need it because then there is a field that automatically fills with the field in the table <aspetto> of the iam.

for the material I have no problem (the change in the soldering iproperties), but for the appearance things get complicated; the axieme is small, they are three pieces of united sheet, and in all I originally set the same appearance.

logically, I doubt that it is not possible: Why should I be able to assign one aspect to a set of more pieces that could be different from each other?

any workarounds?

I had tried: the appearance of the individual pieces is changed (change the color, but the ipt father remains unchanged), the box shows the new appearance until they are selected all, but deselecting the look box turns neutral.

the information will never be linked to the aid but to the individual parts.
