But if when you open the axieme and don't find the parts on the usual path asks you to search them manually; go repeat them and check them.. use solidworks explorer and pay close attention to references search folders.
when the search involves folders higher than that of the axieme risks taking equal file names but that have nothing to do with the axieme in question. especially in the case of copies (but this is not the case, if I have well understood) the "tragedia" is around the corner.

the best way (without a pdm) is to rename the folder and open all the assemblies and sub-assiems and restore the exact folders to the application window. I'll save everything.

I confirm that swx assumes priority as components of the assembling already open files in the same session, as long as they have the same name (also here, attention) so a method would be to open all files and finally the axieme. I prefer the first.

Well, if we want in the case of drawings it is even easier. in the window Open the door of swx at the bottom left is the button references. Select the .slddrw file and press the button. in the window opening do double clik in column box name and go repeat the file/path that concerns you.

However, with swxexplorer, these "problems" are solved.
