change solid elements

Hey, guys.
I am new to the forum and above all I am a neophyte with solid ege.
I ask for help because I have to do a part of the thesis work.

I have cads and these I have to:
-transforming thin elements of mechanical parts into surfaces;
-transform solid elements into volumes.
because then I will have to upload them to ansys for fem analysis.

I also need to learn how to use the solid edge femup but this will come at a later time.

I'm already following some tutorials, and I've created some items on my own, but I'd like to see if there are any guides to do those two things that were said before. or if I miss a basic concept that opens my mind.
Can you help me?

I have never used solid edge, but if you have problems with this software you should write your message in the special forum.
