changing the material the weight does not update

I created a product composed of several parts.
Since this product I must consider it as a unique component, I apply the material to the product (instead of the individual parts) and I go to weigh it. All right.
But now, if I go to change the material of the product (from steel to allumnium for example), I would expect an update of the weight, instead this does not happen.
I am wrong something, or in the product it does not work as the individual parts, where this weight update instead there is.

I also tried, and if I use the "measure inertia" (the icon with the yellow weight), changing the material, I also change the reading value,
if you have applied the "measure preserve", you must select the volume of inertia and with the right click go to object measure of inertia -force update measures

the only problem that does not notice anything at the graphic level is if you forget to force the update the weight will always remain wrong.
