Good morning to all,

I am assembling a new workstation to draw.
I would like a tip on choosing the most suitable video card for my use.
the program that will have to turn is solidworks with which they will be built
wood sanding machines. On average the machines are composed of 4500-5000 pieces including the screw.

my questions are: what hardware performance do I need?
What video card can I offer?
better ati or nvidia?
better professional video card (quadro; fire pro; fire gl) or play card (geforge; radeon hd)
I would also like to know the difference between gaming cards and professional, and basically the reason to spend so many more euros for a card with lower hardware performance.

respond also in technical terms and with technical data,
thank you in advance!
Matteo

you would have done better to post in the dedicated forum of solidworks. this section is very "generic" and reserved for other software maybe "common pole" and not present in the list of the site (as well as being proportionally little consulted by users.. you would have few visits / few answers).
above all is an archenote and stratreated argument (); if you do a search right in the swx sez (but also in off topic > hardware) find at least 1000 solutions (but the right and recommended ones are always the few usual).

greetings
Marco:smile:
