hi, I wanted to model a plastic object that has sort of hinges on the caps of tic tac packs (living hinge). the idea would be that this object takes various configurations depending on what the hinges are folded; and once modeled I would like to see the various configurations. fem analysis turns out a little too expensive I'm afraid even if I'm trying that way too. I have tried various things in catia, such as the use of folds in the sheets (gen. sheetmetal design) but I cannot bind the structural parts to the hinges so that I can animate them, as also I cannot import a geometry in the sheet environment because it does not accept variable thicknesses.
in solidworks I find there is a function called flex, I would need to do something like that.
impossible in the casket?
