class changes on pipes

a piping plant question: in case you have to pass, e.g. by acc.carb. stainless steel or other material on an flg coupling, can the seal remain spirotallica??? or better choose a different mat seal this to avoid electrical conduction.. ? ?
on pipe drifts, the branching will be of the same mat as the main pipe with log or half manic. + nipplo+ flg, garnish. then counterflangia in the new mat, or reached three pieces in the dia case. lower.
same case as galvanized mat. stainless steel..... also from acc. carb. to acc. galvanized? ? ?
