colour tests

save everyone,
after research on the site and on the internet, I can't find the best way for what I have to do. Unfortunately for business reasons I cannot post pictures. the problem is that I have to do color tests for a machine that we are making and I would like to present to the customer various solutions with ral colors.
I can get pleasant solution using photoview 360, but the problem is in doing the various tests, I dry to change every time all the materials. since I basically have about 4 groups to change color for example group 1 cladding glass (40 different parts) group 2 painted metals of the exposed structure (150 different parts) group 3 colored plexiglass (10 parts) etc etc.
every time I change the material of fiberglass I have to recheck the 40 parts and assign the material with the different color?
to overcome this problem I had thought to make a fiberglass material, assign it to the parts and then every time I want to change color I thought to edit the material, but it does not work! ! !

do you have suggestions on the road to undertake?

It would also be enough for selection groups, for example I select the 50 pieces and give them a name. when then I have to change the amteriale for a new color test I call the selection.

you could create a set for each group directly from the princiapal axieme and assign the type of material below together of the assieme father in this way avoid applying the material to each part and speed the choice; then if you want to refine the thing once you choose the 4 colors/materials you check them to the individual parts and remove it to the bottom together. :wink:
