Bye.
I have changed company recently and here I find spaceclaim installed. in a previous company I used solidworks that do not have... so below to learn sc that however does not seem so complex the generals.
Now I find myself having plates on which I have to place threaded prisoners.
How can I repeat the same prisoner in all the necessary points?
in sw I positioned the components of the axieme and with a sketch I put the points on a sketch of that sheet. open the sheet, I used that sketch for a repetition of the component led by sketch... how is it better to work according to you?

Thank you very much.

Hi.

Hello, Marco.
to create copies of prisoners you can create a series (if there is a fixed step) or single copies on points.
for the series there is a special button (or move with "create series" with the check mark).
for the copy creates the various points on the 2d sketch (above the sheet) and with the tool moves holding ctrl select "yes to" and indicate the various points... You're very short!

Bye-bye.

Thank you.
I saw the series and it's a real series. while for the copy of "components" (or even faces I imagine) on points of u 2d... I didn't know you could.
practically, place the first where I want and then with move and ctrl I go on the points of a sketch previously made? ? ?

like solidworks!! !
I attach images of what I should do.

You say it works after seeing what I have to do?

Thank you very much for the answer.
Hi.
Frontale completo.webpFrontale.webp

Great!
Thanks gorea! !
at this point, given the ease, it does not even make sense to place the reference points: simply place all components and then indicate to sc the copy of the component using "up to" and selecting the cylindrical edge of all fixing holes.
the only thing is that the triple for moving the component always places it at the center and not at the base, so first you always have to move it before the ctrl-copy... If there was a way to create the component with a well defined origin, it would be perfect.

Thank you very much

Hi.
ah yes, if you already have cylindrical holes the center is already the right point.
the triple shift is always placed at the center of gravity, you can create a source to add to the component to quickly position the tripode, you do it once for all holes anyway, move, move the tripode, ctrl+click on the circle, ctrl+click on the circle, ...

happy to have helped you.

Thank you.
I'm sorry.
Now I'm going to start cuffing with the sheet... If I need you, I'll break your boxes.

Thanks again.

Come back to me... as promised. Hey!
Hi.

I did my sheet where I put electro-welded prisoners as you taught me and everything is perfect.
Now I have to give the development to the laserista who needs marking for the positions of the prisoners themselves... I did so:

1. created the "prigionierom4x10" component that I insert with the input key. the prisoner is done just like the true one, with the dot coming out of the base and serves to decrease the contact surface with the sheet.
2. included all prisoners
3. used the command combines using solid sheet metal and cutting away prisoners (using the option of keeping the cutter)
4. gate (with "canc") all the circles that formed from the boolean operaz. in development also appear the "marks" as circles.

a little uncomfortable point 4 having to select all the solids left by the operation (especially are the intersection between sheet and dots of prisoners)... is there another way, by chance?
in the tables, on the development, can you also see sketches by chance?

Thank you very much

Hi.

night.
a shorter route there would be:
Suppose we have cylinders that partially penetrate into a plate and we want to cut in 2 each cylinder at the intersection of the plate.
We hide the plate (and every other disturbance), we use the function combined and select with a rectangle all cylinders, at this point with "cut" (saw icon) we select the plate making it first visible. It is not necessary to eliminate to one by one the cut surpluses, but we can make a selection box by turning the view properly. Moreover if the cylinders are copies you just have to do the operation only 1 time on a component. but if you used "insert" and copied the component you should be able to run the operation 1 time on all.

ah, ok therefore I always use the Boolean operation, but then they all select in a cask the surpluses. perfect.
and I confirm that I only selected the component once because it is a copy.

Exactly!

Thank you very much.

Hi.
Yes, if it is a copy then modified one the others are changed accordingly.

Nice this program.
faster, less menate (for now), less constraints than solidworks... but for now I don't see.

Hi.
Thanks again
