compute materials per level

good morning to all ...I wanted an information I have to realize a metric compute of a project realized with revit 2009.. .practically I would like to realize the compute of every single level (seminterrate, ground floor, second floor etc.) this because then I should make subdivisions, now they told me to use the filters but I can't set a good thing, if someone could explain to me in detail the steps to make them I would be very grateful (always if you can make a compute of this type)... thank you in advance:

provided that revit allows to manage the "abachi" that are not a metric compute, in the abacus of the walls there are geometic measures related to every section and type of wall. other geometric measurements can be obtained by means of different fields with the "calculated values" (e.g.: area/length = height)
of course the walls must be drawn with start/end at two successive levels, as the sw per hour, for this category does not preclude a parameter of "level" with which to group the quantities (partial). the object is recognized as a whole, i.e. a surface/volume.
I personally prefer to assign to each wall a reference code (e.g.: plan = pt/p1/p2), (text parameter) or a key note that identifies the specific stretch of wall.
such a methodology must also be orginated in the project, establishing a priori walls or walls that are considered belonging to the plane or to the specific level, or drawing walls always between two floors or consecutive levels.
of all qesti " of the abaco it is possible to make "fields" selections for filters:
e.g. if I have assigned to the wall a plan identifier (p1/p2/p3) I can "filtrate" the selection by setting:
filter by = floor identification field
in the operator = equal
and in value = p1
in this case the abaco's survivors are filtered for the walls in which the plan's identification field is indicated p1
with the sector of sorting / regrouping it is possible to order the results for a specific field of the abaco and possibly to calculate the total per single field or total
