I have always had passion and desire to do mechanics to carry out the study of family and for passion on the engines, now I have graduated to 3 years of mechanical engineering but from a year I discovered the programming (in the specific case objective-c) and I fell in love so much to regret having chosen mechanics. I am trying in everyone to find a meeting point so as not to throw in the toilet this degree but at the same time give vent to the passion of programming but with little results. Can you help me find this meeting point? some input on how these two disciplines can be put together :

in mechatronics, and anyway in automation, there is pure programming, but certainly not "oop" i.e. programming oriented to objects, which is pc stuff.

I know naives who are also means programmers and plan macros, even very complex, which makes them unbeatable in speed and data security.

These macros are sometimes true satellite applications of cad/fem/ecc... this should be the best meeting point between the two worlds.
