configure the mouse

first steps with the new cad (pro-e wf4) and first doubts:
can you configure the scroll by reversing the zoom function?
...in such a way that a upward rotation corresponds to an increase in the percentage of zoom rather than a decrease? (use different cads, I need to uniform as much as possible the mouse + functions used).

the mouse in pro-e can not configure and customize.
I think using so many systems is never a good idea, if they do the same as those I see in your profile the idea is bad and not economical.
Bye.

Hello, sir.
But do you think I enjoy jumping from one system to another? I have worked several years in the free profession and I had to adapt to the systems that the various companies/studies used: from my side we respect art. 5° (who has + money in his pocket has won).
I am now employed in a society that has just set me apart. the pro-and wf4 license, but if you say that the nn mouse is configurable, I just have to surrender and continue to piss with the mouse until I get used to it!

Maybe to overcome your problem you can buy or buy a 3d mouse of 3d connection, they are very comfortable even if they need some practice but above all they allow you to move the model in any cad you are using the same movements.
e.g. pull the pattern towards you and you have a model approach, move it forward and the model moves away and so on.
take a look at the site: http://it.3dconnexion.eu/Think about it can be a great solution.
Bye.

Meanwhile I would look in the properties of the specific driver of your mouse; if you find nothing you can use the xmousebuttoncontrol program (to download here), which remains in operation and allows you to configure each mouse function, including the direction of rotation of the wheel.

Hi.

I've seen one of them used once, but I've put it in the forgotten. I have already written the letter to babbo natal:biggrin:

xmousebuttoncontrol nn know if it would be okay, the default setting problem between different cads would remain... but thank you anyway!

Good job!

There is instead a configuration depending on the application you're using, it could be your case.

Hi.

Hi nick, thank you for the interest. I installed the program and changed the direction of rotation for pro-e but without result. What's wrong with me? ?

you have to add proes between the available profiles, browse the installation path and search for the file ..\i486_nt\obj\xtop.exe.
in this profile reverse the direction of the wheel.
I tried and, changing the application, the wheel returns to function in a standard way without having to intervene in the program.
I attach my configuration:
xmousebuttoncontrol1.webp

ciao

Of course, the strength of thought I demand to use it + for a while. but why do you load xtop.exe instead of proe.exe? ?
I make the test cmq...

Thank you very much, but tell me how you knew that xtop.exe was loaded as an appl??

xtop.exe is the process you have in task manager when you launch proe,
and it is the process that you have to kill when proe no longer responds....

Greetings to the mythical prof!

I quote in full the suggestion of the prof regarding the 3d mouse that I use with immense satisfaction for several years (space pilot) ; it allows you to customize the 100% of the keys present on the model purchased and jumping from one sw to another this automatically goes to reconfigure according to the customizations carried out, but attention, it only serves navigation and, where present (min2 max15 or +), to operate functions through the buttons.
the mouse to hold with the right hand ... bhe that always remains!
I work with him Assumption on catia, pro_e, autocad, 3dsmax2010 and any sw supports the plugin...

Bye!

(off topic ... hey teacher! I've been redundant for a couple of weeks... and then I've been sending back from the lathe! ;)

for those who have left us for a long time will seem simple sects, but for us profane or simple fans these solutions are really manna from the sky...
