Hi.
wanting to use with inventor 2010 an excel sheet to connect parameters to variables I find it difficult to associate the viarabile of the number steps of the holes of a series.
if in fact the step_foro parameter can become an editable variable and that can be inserted in the series parameters, the number_fori parameter is not taken as a given.
Does anyone have a solution to parameterize the number of holes?
Thank you.

You have difficulty because you have that parameter in excel but you can't import it into inventor or what?
What kind of unit did you give the number_fori parameter?

in the series of holes you can not put a formula instead of n.fori.. try!
to the parameter in the excel sheet I gave an entire number that I would change to the evenience.. .

the problem according to me is the unit of measurement, as already said tarkus.
if in the number holes write 5+7 or 8x2 works, then the formulas are allowed.
but if you import an excel sheet with the two cells of the variable name and value, the value is imported with mm units, while the number holes must be without units.
just, after importing the excel sheet, use the parameter and eventually add /1mm.
in practice eliminate the unit of measurement and you are fine.
Hi.

in excel the column to the dx of the value is the one that sets the unit of measurement. if empty import the value of the basic units of the model. writing in the right column of the value "something" automatically sets the correct value on the import. It seems to me that this is the case, but I read it a long time ago on the online guide of inventor... Try to check.

Yeah, you're right. I had tried with the left column of value as it is on the mask of the various inventor dresses.. .

wanting to intervene on the single excel sheet without putting in inventor for every value of unit the formula /1mm, do you think it is possible?

Well, as I said, did you check in the online guide to see how to fill out the excel sheet with the measuring units?
