hello to all I have a problem with the mirror function.

then I am drawing tables, cabinets, etc. that have equal sides but only mirrored... .

How do I mirror a part?? ? ?
I looked at this guide(http://help.solidworks.com/2010/ita...rks/legacyhelp/sldworks/parts/mirror_part.htm) but in my solidworks the mirror function part is not there, there is only mirroring. .

How do I do that? ? ?
I should practically create a new part but mirrored to the other not connected in the same diesngo part.

hello and thank you all

Matteo

use solidworks 2010

mirroring is exactly what you look for, click mirroring - select the part or the surfaces you want to break, remove the flag if you do not want to join the parts and it is made.

If I understood right you would like to create a version of your piece (or part) in the opposite hand, which is a new right file?

This thing I do in the environment together.

select the mirror function starts from the function menu.

choose the part to mirror and the mirroring plane (fig 1)

then click on the arrow indicated in Figure 1 that takes you to the second step (fig 2). here you can reorient the mirrored piece if something is not right, or create an opposite hand version (freccia fig 2). that opposite version will create a new side file released from the original but mirrored.

I hope I understand what you wanted.

Hello loutenr1,
use sw from about ten days so they are at first weapons. I found your surgery very useful and I'm grateful.
I have a very similar problem: I am designing a wedge silo for the discharge of solid granulars so I have the same mechanical components at the 4 corners. Following your instructions I created the files with mirrored pieces, which later I will use for the table, and I loaded them into the axieme but I manually added all the constraints and screws. Now a doubt arises: is it possible to reproduce even the couplings?
It is a simple curiosity because I do not miss anything to put back the few couplings I have in those four areas.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Yes if you have 2010 (first not, all mirrored elements remained "free in the void").
or better, do not recreate the couplings, but the parts are really mirrored and follow the constraints of the parts from which they derive. if the fathers are fixed the mirrored parts will be fixed, vice versa if the fathers have degrees of freedom the mirrors follow precisely the movements (but also the opposite happens, if you move the mirrors also move the fathers).

But you have 2010, don't you? and the elements are not stuck in the correct position?. . Strange

greetings

In fact two remain fixed but one is free to rotate in any direction. . :
However I solved by mirroring the pieces one by one and adding the constraints.
Thank you very much for the answer,
Hello Marco
janfranco

Are you sure your father isn't free?

greetings

You're right! that yawned, I forgot the bond on the object to mirror...
Thank you very much, now everything is wonderful! at least to this point...
Hi.
janfranco

..he wants to create another side file.
That's right, he doesn't. How come?

edit:

as not mentioned, just select "Selected component island"

Hi, I'm talking here for a question:

If I mirror a frame with pitches and I gate the father with erasing bodies, in the table does not show me the fillets of the pitches.(sw 2010 sp.0).

It seemed to me that there was a trick or something to scourge (type quality draft in the views), but I don't remember how I was doing with 2007. Is it normal or does everything work with an update?

Thank you.
