convert .stl file to a editable format with solidworks

I downloaded this model in .obj format of the batman begins film tumbler
https://grabcad.com/library/batmobiletumbler-1After downloading it I converted it into .stl format to open it with solidworks 2016, but obviously in this way I can not change the model yet.

My goal would be to get a file on which to work with solidworks to create the bodywork (magari converting it into sheet metal) and draw inside a frame to reproduce the car in scale.

I have tried several things but it is not very clear how to do, plus my pc seems weak for certain works.. .

You know how to get what I need?

the impossible.
you can try to recognize functions, but these will be practically unmanageable because:
underdefinite sketches without quotas and relationships
b functions created with software logic and non-processual
c a model of the genus is almost certainly planted because the analysis of the penny for the recognition of the functions is Moroccan. (even if a proof you can do it)
d the stl format is not the maximum to make changes because it creates a pattern made of triangles and where there are curved parts is a bath sweat and blood

I also tried the recognition functions and it actually planted several times, I didn't know if to blame my pc or the procedure itself for if...

is there no way to convert the .stl file to a solid model? Maybe then I could play it better with the faces of the body shop. .

Aren't you the one who converted it to .stl? if you, convert it or download it in other format (step, iges)

you ok I can convert the file to .stl in .step with solidworks!
obtained the .step file however it is not clear how to get a pattern of the surfaces of the body to reproduce them in sheet metal.

I can do a sketch of the contour of each surface but it is not clear how to get sheet to cut without folds.

for example a set of surfaces that can be cut from a single piece could be these

to obtain plates, it is not necessary to have surfaces.
You must have bodies that allow you to be converted into sheet metal.
you select the body (if there are multiple bodies join), you save it in a unique file and it turns into sheet metal. if it is not possible to analyze the body in search of the problem, it is fixed and transforms.
