Hey, guys.

I'm learning how to use catia v5 r19 thanks to a valuable text, but I can't move on because I can't copy a profile in a drawing file and paste it into the sketch.

I tried to copy the drawing, to select the xy plan and then to enter the sketcher to paste the profile but not paste a kaiser.

You know what I'm wrong?

other thing: if I open a new file produced1 and try to import a catpart no matter anything, but if I open the catpart and drag it on product1 highlighted in blue I associate the catpart to the product1.

Thanks to all possible advisers and advisers ;-) :finger:

In fact, you're regional, I can't even.
this technique of copying the drawing and pasting it in part I used it successfully to import old autocad files (sections) to build part in catia.
This is the method: (original files must be dxf)
file/open/click the dxf/ok
Catia converts, creates a catdrawing and bangs us into your dxf design.
then select the design, handle on the profile that lights up, button dx copy.
open new part, enter the sketcher, handle on the partbody that lights up, button dx paste.
geometry appears after clicking "centrature" because it is placed according to data that comes from autocad, so it can be anywhere in space. Moreover they are only lines without any constraints of any kind.
doing the same procedure on a catdrawing that comes from the table of a catpartIt's not working. mystery!!! !

thanks marco was a centering problem.
I realized that the design (a su26) is composed of very few lines and curves are a sequence of points. place convert these into lines?

it also works with catdrawing, but first you have to isolate the views (right click on the view and "island"
