corrupted data table

I am using solidworks 2013. trying to open a data table made with solidworks 2012 a while ago opens the message "the data table file is corrupt, delete the existing data table and create a new one? "
If I try to do "Save Table" opens the page and in the default suffix of the extension I see ".xlsx".
is it not that from the 2013 version you want the data tables to be in .xlsx?
but all those previously made? They'll be lost, won't they?
so we have to remake all files containing data tables with the latest version of office

solidworks 2013 needs office2007 or office 2010 with 2003 is not compatible in the sense that it does not recognize the data tables saved in .xls
so if you are going to move to the version of sw 2013 you also account for the purchase of office2010 if you now have 2003.

right for information, on the solidworks site there is a table in which the office compatibility - solidworks is indicated.
