Hi.

usually (for my fixation) the threads I make them through helical sweep removing material. the problem is that many times the model becomes extremely heavy and the regenerations are very long. often between a regeneration and the other creo fails to model the thread and to "snatch it" I am forced to play with 0.05 in step or other strange things. .

so I decided to use the cosmetic fillet function that I never used. (create use 3)

the first problem is that if I sketch "technical design >>> cosmetic filet" I refer to the folder "group directory" where I can choose between "external" or "internal" and then between "blind" and "through". every choice sends me to a message that quotes:
"The current tolerance standard is absent. impossible to update the fdu because its reference part is not available. click ok to continue without compatibility with the tolerance standard or cancel to stop. "if I click ok send me to a window in "old pro-e" style "insert feature defined by the user" that basically I can't use. .

I downloaded this table https://www.cad3d.it/forum1/threads/filettatura-pro-e.15933/#post-132741even if it gives me the same warning on the fdu I can use it. But I would like to understand how to solve it. .

problem number 2:
Once I have done my cosmetic thread (I carry it out externally on a tube), in the table I see the cosmetic lines only in the section, while in the unsectioned view I do not see the cosmetic lines. How can I solve this?

thanks to all

1: I personally find it both crazy to make threads in full, already over 1000 components is to cry, we do not talk about it when they are 3-4000.

2: the message sends you to the basic tolerances you lack (or have not been set), so go to menu files -> prepares part -> tolerances
In this case, it should not be the case, but by relying on the tolerances for quotas, it is wrong.

3: problem n°2 could be a level problem, check that you have not obscured them for the table.

thanks for the answer but I can't fix:

1. I agree, although until now it has gone well as our assemblies are made up of less than 70 parts usually

2. the tolerance set by default is anxious, but both with this setting iso sends me back to the above message.. are there particular procedures to set these tolerances?

3. What do you mean by levels? thread (real or cosmetic) I always have it as last feature in the model shaft

1. I see you understand.

2. there are the tolerance classes to be loaded inside the part ("h", "g", "js" etc.), usually you do at start part level, the fdu are also based on those (for thorn holes for example), you should have them in the creo installation folder, I recommend to pull them out and put them in the general directory of the settings (papers, tables etc.)

3. in addition to the feature tree, there is the layer tree (in the model tree menu), turn off/light references, cosmetics, components etc. the same tree finds it in the table and follows its settings, not necessarily connected directly to the 3d, so you can mix at will certain conditions, view for view.
