course inventor time learning

I am a mechanical expert working inside a technical office in the management of suppliers. I am privately "setting" on inventor 2021 as I would like to move into the mechanical design section. I am about to make an intense course of 40 hours to learn inventor . course in the presence one to one or only I with the certified teacher autodesk . the question is simple and trivial , after a course so' according to you I have the basis of the use of the program in order to work independently within the company ? specifically use the distinct base, make changes of drawings already existing etc. etc. etc. at the end of the course they tell me I am issued an official certificate autodesk with a lot of license number.

in 40 hours, in my opinion, you can only learn the basics of the program, definitely not manual and speed. for the distinct base actually the big does the pdm of references that interfaces with the erp as it could be known.
of inventor it is important to learn how to manage the sketches of creation of the parts, making the file more usable and not of sculpture, and management of the constraints.
work independently compared to the design depends what you want to do. if you want to make the designer of parts studied by others then you will have a base from junior designer, from designer will have to brush up several knowledge of when you graduated.

Thanks for the answer . I had already planned in the case of making an additional course of 20 hours , there is also this course . In fact I think with this course of 40 hours I could return to the profile of junior designer that would be very good for me. The last question I ask is knowing how to use inventor, learning well this, can I work without knowing how to use autocad? in my case only work with 3d

depends on the type of work, sector, historical etc. There's no one answer.
said that, autocad is not that it is this monster...

if you can't use autocad is better, philosophy is completely different.
I, in my little one, put some person able to use inventor with a few hours of infarination, some took the flight on their own, others never understood how it works.
clearly, more than once we have been resentful, even on the phone or on skype, for particular situations, but with increasingly rarefied calls.
if one wants, I think it would be better to do 10 hours to learn the commands and their facets well, to take a few pieces to model, try to replicate them and then continue the course by honing how much it was made.
If you do all of a bang, you come to the end with notions that do not rest on good bases.
This is my idea, based on years of real use of the program, who does the courses will have different ideas and a default path to respect.

Before the course itself, they serve the basis of "three-dimensional modelling of machines", which deals with various topics, on which all solid modelers and surfaces are founded.

between a 2d cad and a 3d modeler (mainly solid) radically changes the workflow.
rational use (if you want) of a 3d solid modeler (with inventor you can also model surfaces) also provides knowledge of mechanical technology/production technology.

It is more immediate to approach a cad 3d because the necessary abstraction level is different (the screen object has a three-dimensional physical form with then associated also all geometric and mass properties). but if you have arrived for so many years of cad 2d, it becomes even fastiodous the fact that the putting into the table (as it is in reality) is simply a consequence of modeling 3d (net of some conventions applied to drawing 2d direct, for reasons of simplification graphics).
