hi to everyone, I address this forum to have some advice. work for a company that has 7 solidworks positions 2016 sp5 + mine. I personally am responsible for developing a pdm/plm platform that, among other things, has a plug-in with solidworks for integrated management of bom and coding. We have used this software for about 2 years and have never experienced any particular problems. from about 2-3 months, all stations started to give big crash issues. I thought I'd "give the blame" to the plm plug-in but it's just as true that in the last few months we haven't changed great things. crashes also occur not only when the plug-in comes into play, but also simply when working on a sketch, or when for example trying to change a cart. by now we have come to have 2-3 crashes per day for each post, but sincerely I don't know what it's like to vote for me, whether to try with the solidworks dealer or to insist on who gives us the plm. Maybe if someone has any advice to give me, if maybe you have experienced similar experiences, I would be grateful.

I use 2016 sp5 on win 10 updated and I don't match problems. crashes rarely occur type 1-2 a month. I think it's very likely that plm is boring. Could you work one or two days without plm and see how it behaves? Then you could backup the solidworks user logs and reset them, then see how it works without user settings. If the problem exists, you can call assistance. but I repeat, the 2016 sp 5.0 is stable. realize that I installed and removed 2017 at the end of the day because with the sp 4.1 it was not even to compare as stability and reliability.

the pdm in version 2016 was not very good, not so much for crashes on solidworks but closed the process explorer. version 2018.01 for now is stable.

2018 is stable with explorer, but it is unstable with swx 2016 and then install swx 2017 that so pdm works. ah, but now swx is unstable with the 2016 version of the cam. no problem, then I turn the cam to 2017. ostia, but now the pdm is incompatible with the latest version of the cam.
What do I do, I get a kalashnikov with a dozen 30-round chargers and I solve everything permanently?

Kalashnikov....kalashnikov....kalashnikov:36_1_15:36_1_18:

we continued with the "inquiries" and the paradoxical thing is that one of our colleagues working in remote desktop via vpn from an external office, does not find any problem (same sp5 of swx16 and same version of the plm)... this makes me think that the problem could be in some setting on the clients in the office, maybe some registry key that does not write ... I wouldn't know exactly where to crash the head, if maybe there is some systemist
good holidays to all
