Good morning.
work in the Italian department of a company specialized in mechanical field. for years we have been using solid edge (floating licenses) and recently we have moved to the se2020 version.
a few months ago we started having continuous crash problems (still with the antecedent version st19) sometimes even at the opening of the program.
the dealer, who also follows us for technical support, advised us to go back with windows 10 updates because there seemed to be incompatibilities (not all computers however present these crashes even if the version of windows was the same). the version on the pc was 2004 kb4560960.
we couldn't disintegrate it and the assistance tried to make the next update that was supposed to solve bugs in theory, but so it wasn't.
we were therefore advised to switch to the new version solid edge 2020 but crashes were re-presented (always the same closing error of the program and if the problem persists they say to contact the assistance).
we were again told that the problems were due to incompatibility with windows 10 20h2 and also with 2004 and it would be better to go back to version 1909. if you can't go back to version format your pcs and reinstall everything from scratch staying then with win10 1909 and block updates.
I wanted to know if there's someone else in our own situation.
it seems strange to have to go back of 2-3 versions of windows when we have computers that do not have any crashes and are updated to the latest version win10 20h2. while others have the 2004 version and have crashes that they still had when they had 1909. I would not want that after the suggested formatting and reinstallation we were then in the same situation.
Is there anyone who can give me a tip? We can't get out of it.
Thank you in advance.
