create a sketch from an image

hello to all, I should create a bright sign with a logo created in illustrator.
exporting from illustrator and inserting the image into a sketch but I can not take the outline of the letters, but I take the rectangle of the image.
Is there someone who can tell me how to take the contour of letters to create laser nesting?
I hope I've been able to explain what my intent is. .

is an argument already dealt with on cad 3d in this recent discussion.
in practice you must use a vector file exported by illustrator in dwg or pdf format compatible. if the file has been provided to you in the native format (.ai) and you have no adobe illustrator you can try to convert it using one of the many converters (to > dwg/pdf) online.
