create prt with another prt

I wondered if it is possible with I create a prt file, without having to create a set, in which inside there is another prt file.
I better explain, I have to create a code of a particular finished from here I start from another raw code and carry out mechanical processing, in inventor there was the derivative here in I create something similar or do I have to create a set?

another convenient method is to use packaging (insert > shared data > shrinkwrap) in wf5, see if it is included in your license.

copy geometry is used as external (direct between prt), and used within an asm provides the use of that module. Unfortunately there are no other solutions, unless you want to make an asm with inside the rough prt and apply some assembly features .. which is not exactly its ..

shrinkwrap is an evolution of copy geometry so it should not be available ... but you try, with ptc you never know.

If you need to create the "work" starting from a "grip", I recommend using the mode together, it is much more versatile and allows you to better control the bom.
