help

I would like a small guide on how to use inventor to create structures (e.g. canvases in hea or tubular) starting from the guidelines of a sketch.
I have clear the concepts , I have seen the module relative to the structures = I miss the starting input or how to start.
I just need simple points with written command and two lines of their function (very synthetic) and if possible a simple example file.
I gave an eye to autodesk tutorials but don't understand much about what needs to be created or set to start and especially what environment to use between : part or iam
if possible the example file and the guide created for the inventor version 2011 (current version I am using)
thank you from now on in the meantime I seek among the old discussions some useful imput that can dissipate my doubts and clarify my ideas

Hi, anny.

I give you some indications quickly:

- create the part file (ipt) with the frame skeleton to be realized
- save the file
- create a new file together (they were going) and import the part file that contains your skeleton
- save the file together
- go to the "design" arena
- to insert the profiles desired by you, you use the "insert frame" command that allows you to choose the rules, type, material and possible color of the profile to be used.
- select the lines you want to associate the profile you choose: you can select multiple lines to associate the same profile (to select the lines just press ctrl and click sx mouse on the line), then click apply.
- in case your skeleton has multiple types of profiles you just need to change the various properties of the comado window insert frame and the game is made
- click on "ok" after finishing the various profiles
- you can change the various profiles at any time by clicking on the profile with the tasto dx by clicking on "edit with frame generator" by editing the various properties or location
- you can change the various carvings to create on the profiles with some simple commands:

* mitern: to create carvings with equal angles between profile intersections
* notch : to create cutouts between profiles by selecting a base profile (which will not be modified) and the profile on which to cut the profile of the base profile
* trim to frame : allows you to cut or stretch two profiles with the possibility to set a offset to the cut
* trim/extend : size /ends a profile to the selected face.

in principle these are the commands to use to create frames. I hope my instructions can help you. in case of doubt ask yourself; the forum is composed of nice and helpful people and who certainly know much more than me:finger:. I ask vein in case you have written any heresies:biggrin:

hello and good day to all:cool:
