Hello everyone,
I'm sorry, I'm making a discussion that seems "dead" (https://www.cad3d.it/forum1/threads/crea-parte-assieme-in-automatico-da-tabella.55328/#post-432102 )
The thing is evolving... I do not need to create a part with various configurations in which data change (type screw).
I have to create mechanical constructs that are always equal to themselves but with some variable measures (e.g. if it were a bike, always equal relationships like some distances... but changing radius to wheels, height and other), all data are mathematically calculated (I attach the xls with which I calculate everything)
the next step is to create the part/assieme and go to connect the values to specific cells; external radius = a2; height =c55 etc.
until now I have only managed to create tables for configurations i.e. each column one given; but going to connect a separate cell to a certain data of the aid I can't do it.

in an old discussion, which I do not find of course, had analyzed that solidworks read only the first sheet of a excel file. so if you have to start on multiple sheets you cannot handle the situation. you must strictly create a first sheet in which you convey all the useful data to pass to solid.

from what I understand:
- I cannot take values from cells by chance, even if on the same sheet (when I collect a value I set it on the whole column); i.e. I cannot set a x quota on a single cell that is always that one;
- all values must be on the same sheet;
Can you confirm the procedure? 1- Apart created I insert a data table connected to external file; 2- select a cell and then a quota, so doing in that column takes the values relative to the quota
- from what I understand, since the original file also serves others, I could create a file connected to the first that only has the values to set on sw (or use the first sheet of my database)

solid non legge le singole celle, ma legge le colonne che devono avere le intestazioni corrette
ora non ho tempo per verificare, ma se usi le quote queste hanno ognuna un nome ben specifico, quindi non puoi legarle ad una singola colonna di excel (hai presente come si autocompila quando fai la tabella dati da solid?). forse è possibile farlo tramite variabili globali, ma ora non mi ricordo se è possibile.

I'm looking for equations but I see that they are exportable only as txt files and from them I don't know how to use them.

hello to all
I tried all of them, linking the file to a xls is too slow, the best thing is to use equations, export them to a txt file.
from here there are two roads:
1- edit father parameters in txt file
2- connect the txt file to the xls table...... when I change the table, the values are changed also in the text file and then in the drawing/assieme, very fast..... even if it is succeeding me difficult to automate the process of data passage from xls to txt
