is someone so kind to tell me how i can create holes on a circular surface like a hollow iron tube?
thank you!
thank you!
I use the creation wizard holes, but then I can't place them where I want, because laterally I can't give them any reference with the quotation and even place them on the axis of the tondino!the creation wizard allows to create, the important thing is to have references to which to report the point where the hole is created
If you have noticed, a 3d sketch opens, so you have to operate according to those rules. the holes are always placed on the cylindrical surface radially but the odds you will need to give them referring to axles and planes.I use the creation wizard holes, but then I can't place them where I want, because laterally I can't give them any reference with the quotation and even place them on the axis of the tondino!

look if you need this simple example:View attachment 10452Hello

..eh, but from what I understand it would want the holes to be radial so it can not use any plan but only tangent planes to the cylindrical face.otherwise do a sketch on any floor, and holes passing, so do not use 3d sketches...
..aspè;as they are of coccio, could you post me or attach a test file in sw2008? Thank you!
references for quotas (extension lines) take them between the hole point and a face (the edge of the tube in blue for example) or an axis that is parallel/coplanar to that of the hole. If the position in a "2d" display the cylinder generator is not valid as a reference, the "circular" arrangement gives it as an angle between axles (always coplanar) and the hole axis can direct it/coincide it with the central axis of the tube.
