I am using inventor pro 2010 and my dash is like making a hull using this program. in the mega guide 2009 is a quite simple model of hull made with the tool "sculpture". Unfortunately the guide does not say how it was realized.

I do not know inventor and therefore my question may seem insulated but, it is possible to upload as image a building plan and then "pass" the ordinates of study, water lines, etc. etc. to use them in the 3d contingency of the hull?
we with microstation do so. We load a scan of a building plan with raster image, then we "sign" above. when we have the correct profiles of o.s: the "distanziamo" in the space of the expected range. then on the os so obtained, the surfaces are obtained.
