Good morning to all, I have to create a new cartilage from an existing cartilage. In practice I have a dwg file with new settings, I would like to know how it is to manage... (from solidworks I always imported the dwg into the cartilage and settled in the appropriate drwdot file). I look forward to your thanks

thanks falonef, I already have a cartiglio in .catdrawing (i.e. the cartilages so far in use), has been modified the cartiglio in dwg/dxf that will have to replace the style of the cartiglio of the existing files in catdrawing. But I can't import it. . .pesca of cartilages with other extensions in instruments/options/mechanical design/drafting => directory per squares cartiglio. by cv5 you mean catia v5 right?

on => tools/import from file the amount in the background of the drawing, but it's like a block and I can't make it all exploded/single

ciao @stefano82open your dxf/dwg
select your elements. - ctrl+c
go to the background sheet of your catdrawing and --> ctrl+v
and you will have to move it to the desired position.
this is the fast procedure

the correct procedure is to create a file.catalogue so to every modification of the cartiglio it is sufficient to modify only what is in your file.catalogue and all your drawings (even those previously made) are updated to the latest version of the cartiglio

hi victorious, no unfortunately when I glue it is as if it mattered as a block (like an image) while the already in use cartilages are editable as by autocad to understand us. when within the background of the sheet (in the good one) is all editable. . .

Maybe that dwg/dxf is a block?
did you try to explode it in individual entities before copying it?

in options--compatibility-->dxf
There are some parameters to set in the "import" section
Try that.

thanks to all... I solved in another way working from the inside. Let's say a little arranged was not exactly what I preferred... If I find a more practical method, I will
