creation of variant

Good morning, if I have a set and want to make a variant completely out of the original axieme, what should I do? In a nutshell I have a set that's good, but I would like to create another one with some.modifications that don't change the other. I hope I've expressed myself well. Thank you.

I brutally made a copy of the original and renamed file, but clearly the original parts were modified. Do I have to make a copy of the folder?

If you have to change them and you want to keep the previous ones together, of course.

make a pack&go of the original set and work in the new project (you have identical files scattered in the pc, long go do cakes )
or, what I do, every modified file makes it unique ( suffix to or similar ), you don't have to forget any but it works fine and doesn't duplichi files in the directories.

thanks for the answer, but not being practical of inventor, I did not understand what you mean in making the file unique.

with a unique name, which does not have the same name as another one in the pc.
inventor uses the project file to figure out where to point to choose the right file.
until you're on the piece, spin it all away smoothly, in a few months or year, maybe reorganizing the folders, they'll throw you out doubles of files and begin to punish.
