creation starts in a set, does not update part

I created a part in a set ( rectangular cover), clicking on the plane of a component of the axieme itself (a box), basically I wanted to create a lid of a box, which would automatically update if I changed the size of the box. I went in a second moment to change the size of the box but the cover does not update. in the cover you see the "black" contours solved, but do not update.

depends on how you created the cover. if you relate it to the box then it will change otherwise not. and it also depends on how to change the box.

black contours only means that the sketch is completely defined.

give answers on specific file problems is not possible, most of all if they were created by those who have no familiarity with the software.
How did you create the sketch? Did you relate it? Is it a trivial convert entity? How can we know?
in inventor with this description would have existed only one and only way to do the sketch and consequently to say why it does not work?

by creating a component in the axieme, I clicked the top floor of the box, from where the lid will be rested, and then I started drawing the sketch, starting from the edges of the box. Maybe the question if I have to project the edges of the box first on the floor of the lid sketch?

the question is: is the sketch of the cover related to the box? are somehow connected (which have the same plan is in this specific case not important)?
Wouldn't you be less attached to the file?

to make sure there are relationships between the two you should have external references. when external references are present in a function, at the end of the function see the symbol "->". if the symbol is as written the reference is correct and works. if the symbol is so "->?" means that the reference exists, but it is not solved and therefore does not work. if it is not solved it means that you have made some mistakes in managing external references (as useful and reliable as "delicate" to manage). Put a screenshot, so we don't understand the situation.

I tried but I can't. I tried to do with convert entities but it does not bind. I should see all the correct process step by step, I don't know where I can find a tutorial "create part from within the axieme.

If you attach the file, as already said, it would be easier.
converts connect entities creates references is unreliable. If you don't, you didn't do the procedure properly.

if you attach the files I give an eye, otherwise it is too complex to help you. I use external references heavily from v99 and have always worked perfectly, they have never been bugs that compromised its reliability. and you have to learn how to handle them, that's all. by chance... right to speculate, did you enable the command of "no external reference" together?

I remade the steps, and now it works: lid and box are connected.
