It's worth more than getting your hands dirty because companies don't do anything about one who can cuff well with solidworks and doesn't understand a stern of mechanics.
Solidworks is just a tool, not a fake solution to problems.... because if you don't have it in your head, you don't even get it with the top license of what you want.
